Coffee products

Coffee comes in a variety of packaging formats. Coffee can be packed in a jar, flexible pouch, stick pack or K-cup. Stick packs of instant coffee are usually packed in a shelf-ready box that is further packed in a case. Jars and pouches of coffee can be packed in a secondary carton, on a shelf ready-tray, or directly in a case that goes on a pallet. All of these formats require a different packaging solution. Tishma Technology’s TI 100 cartoner can pack up to 900 K-cups per minute while minimizing the space usage within the box. This cartoner is also convenient for stick packs of coffee (or any other product). Jars and pouches are being handled by our TI 400 vertical cartoner and our TI 600 horizontal cartoner.

Pasta products

Pasta usually comes in a box, bag-in-a-box or in flexible pouch

Like cereals and other snack products, some pasta requires double protection during shipping and stacking. Product must remain fresh which is usually accomplished with an airtight bag, while the box protects it from crushing. For Bag-in Box solution make sure to check out TI-600 packaging system. Liquor/Beer

Whether it is in a glass bottle or a can – we all like a sip of a good drink. Yet, these products need special handling. Some bottles are wider at the shoulders than at the bottom. Special care is required for these bottles not to tumble over while on the conveyor. Beer, sodas and other beverages are carbonated, so these bottles need to be handled with the minimum of shaking. Canned beverages need special handling as well. They need to be arranged on a tray, or cartoned without too much shaking. Taking a special care not to deform or damage a can during the shipping or stacking process is also important. Soup

Soup, similarly to other liquid goods can be packed in a can, plastic container or tetra-pak style container. These packaging formats can be placed in a secondary carton, or a sleeve. Further they can be placed on a tray, in a case and further on a pallet. Instant soup and other similar products usually come in pouches that are placed on a shelf-ready tray. Condiments

Ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard and other condiments can be packed in many formats. We usually come across a pouch, tube or a jar. They all usually go on a shelf ready tray, or in a shelf-ready-box that further goes into a case. Dish detergent and other home care products are very useful, but if not handled properly, they can be dangerous. These products can be toxic, they can cause damage to the skin and they are often flammable or have dangerous vapors. Secondary packaging can provide extra protection for these products during the shipping and stacking process.
